Beyond project presentation at an event in Telsiai
On the 13th of October Beyond project and its related activities were presented at the event in Telsiai, organized by the Lithuanian Education and Science Trade Union for early childhood education specialists.
Today’s early childhood education teachers’ work is increasingly characterized by ignorance and inability to address gender equality issues in early childhood education, and a lack of competencies does not allow them to boldly go beyond the gender stereotypes that have been created.
The project presentation stressed the importance of targeted training on the topic, sharing good practices and experiences, and not being afraid to rethink their working methodologies from a gender perspective.
The participants were presented with 3 posters created by the project partners, which best reflect some of the stereotypes and issues faced by teachers and children in early childhood education institutions. At the end of the presentation, participants could choose and vote for their favorite poster.
