Description
This Module aims at providing trainees with the adequate knowledge and competences needed to work with the parents, other family members and care givers of the children in their settings to raise awareness among these groups on the importance of gender equality, overcoming stereotypes, prejudices and biases to make it possible for each and every child to develop his/her full and unique potential, to respect diversity and to live in harmony with themselves and the people in their surroundings. The role of parents and others in direct contact with the child’s upbringing is essential in order for the children to receive a consistent message as otherwise they might be confused by contradicting information and/or behaviors. In this module we aim to equip teachers and educators with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and the tools to be able to deal with different parenting and communication styles.
