Objective
The main objective of the Practice aims at helping children understand the importance of “being different”. By pursuing this purpose, children are able to consider “diversity” as an added value rather than a weakness.
Short description of the activities
Thanks to the Practice, educational labs were implemented by involving preschool children who actively took part in storytelling and role games activities fostering a gender equality-based perspective in early childhood education system.
The Practice has contributed to
- Improve access to quality ECEC services and in an inclusive way
- Support the professionalisation of staff working in ECEC contexts, including managerial staff
- Enhance the development of curricula based on pedagogical goals, values and approaches that enable children to reach their full potential in a holistic way
- Ensure adequate funding and a legal framework for the provision of ECEC services
- Promote the monitoring and evaluation of progress made through the establishment and delivery of high quality ECEC provision and practice.
