Objective

– To educate participants to use Gender Neutral language while communicating with people
– To make the participants spot the conscious/unconscious gender bias and the stereotypes that affect their everyday life and how they transfer all these to their children since birth.

Short description of the activities

The coordinator showed a short video about Gender Neutral Language at the beginning of the meeting, and then they provided participants with a short story. The story was a description from a boy introducing himself, his family, how he spends his day at the kindergarten and the culture within his family. The coordinator asked the participants to highlight the points that were related to the video and to spot in the story the points that they believe are related to concious/unconscious bias and stereotypes. A discussion followed among the participants with the help of the coordinator based on the activities.
