BEYOND involves 6 European partners, that complement each other in terms of knowledge, competences and fields of action.
UIL, Unione Italiana del Lavoro (Italian Labour Union), is the democratic and unitarian trade union confederation of women and men workers and retired people of any belief, creed, political and ethnical belonging, affiliated for the defense of rights and common professional, economic social and moral interests in compliance with the principles of democracy and freedom enshrined both in the Italian republican Constitution and the E.U. Charter of Fundamental Rights proclaimed at the Nice European Council. Thanks to its more than 2.2 million members, UIL is the third Italian trade union confederation. Its representation is expressed by means of a dual level: – a horizontal level: through Regional unions and provincial union chambers as well as the structures responsible for assistance and protection to workers and retired people and the achievement of the so called “citizens’ trade union”; – a vertical level: with 16 industry-wide National Unions through which it concludes labour contracts and performs an activity designed to reaffirm, protect and conquer individual and collective rights.
FORMA.Azione s.r.l. has started its activity in 1997 as Association of Professionals and Consultants, specialized in Vocational Training Services. In 2005, thanks to the growth of its business, was turned into a LLC. It is an Accredited Regional Training Centre, since 2003 working with Public National and EU funds, such as Ministries of Culture, Social Policies, Family funds, ESF – European Social Fund, EAFRD – European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, ERASMUS + Programme, REC – Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme, AMIF – Asylum, Migration, Integration Fund, and Interprofessional funds for workers re-skilling and up-skilling. Since 2002 it is ISO 9001Certified, for designing and provision of vocational training and Adult learning services. It has developed strong relations with local and national public authorities, private companies, schools and other VET providers, Trade unions and CSOs, by designing and providing training pathways and integrated projects aimed at Human development and the educational domains growth, and their quality improvement.
Lithuanian education and science trade union (LESTU)
A modern, dynamic and politically independent organization created to effectively protect the social, economic and professional interests of its members and other educational staff at all levels – national, regional and institutional – and to influence education policy-making to address the needs of citizens of the Republic of Lithuania.
We believe that everyone feels safe, not only by being a member, but by being a member of the collective that defends them, and by building a community whose voice is heard by both employers and government, because they will see that we are solidarity and united, to achieve their intended goals than acting alone.
The Bulgarian Union of Teachers (SEB) is the largest and most authoritative teachers’ organization, the most numerous branch trade union in Bulgaria.
SEB was founded in 1990 and nowadays has about 80,000 members. It is the largest trade union organisation in terms of membership and defends the civil rights and freedom, the social, economic, labour and professional rights and interests of its members employed in the education sector. The union has its own structures in each municipality in the country and has good relations with all social partners at national and local level.
SEB is a key member of CITUB (one of the official representative organizations of employees in Bulgaria) and a key participant in the Sectoral Council for Tripartite Cooperation. SEB is a member of the world’s largest teachers’ organizations – Education International (EI) and the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE).
EPA gathers the parents’ associations in Europe which together represent more than 150 million parents. EPA works in partnership both to represent and give to parents a powerful voice in the development of education policies and decisions at European level.
Main objectives are:
– to promote and advocate for the active involvement of parents as primary educators at all stages of the education of their children,
– to support parents’ associations and individual parents for stakeholder involvement in different European countries by offering opportunities for training, cooperation and exchanging information,
– to support the highest possible quality of education for all children in Europe especially by active involvement in EU-level policy development and assessment
– to foster exchange among its members
The European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE) is a federation of 127 education trade unions in 51 countries, representing in total 11 million members all over Europe. We are the social partner for teachers and other education personnel at European level, and a defender of their interests towards the European Commission and other European institutions.
ETUCE is composed of national trade unions of teachers and other staff in all parts of the education sector: early childhood education; primary education; secondary education; vocational education and training; higher education and research. The member organisations cover both EU and non-EU states. ETUCE is the European Trade Union Federation for the education sector within the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC).
