Lab in CY
On the 11th of October 2021, the European Parents Association met the teachers of the Voroklini Public and Community Kindergarden School in Cyprus to collect good practices for the promotion of gender equality with children and share the plan of action of the BEYOND project.
What emerged clearly from the discussion is the need to offer structured support to teachers in order to help children familiarizing with and practicing gender equality, despite the differences among their families. It is important to put more emphasis on teaching empathy to children, and to make available guidelines and tools on how to teach gender equality and stereotype-free educational materials.
